Recovering From the Flu

1015-chicken-soup

Hi guys. I’ve been sick for the past few days–recovering from H1N1. Did I mention that I despise pigs? No, seriously–this flu is wretched, but you know? I survived it, or maybe a better way to put it is, I am surviving it because I still have a fever tonight, ugh … (which takes care of any lingering vaccination concerns!). And my 9 month old did too. The two year old? Minor sniffles. The husband? Immune system of steel. In any case, thank goodness for chicken soup this week! I had made several huge batches for a recipe testing project for Glamour over the weekend so I ended up freezing a lot of it. And, there it was–in the freezer–waiting for me this week when I had a 102 degree fever. Let this be a reminder to you: Make some homemade chicken soup and freeze it for when you’re under the weather! (P.S. While I’m out recovering from this, my fabulous editors at Glamour are covering for me over at Vitamin G–thank you guys! (The post this afternoon was prewritten, before I was feverish.) I’ll be back to blogging there on Monday when this is all in my rearview mirror, with a big update on my experience with this icky bug, in case you care to read the gory details.)

Oh my gosh you poor thing! I can’t believe after all the preparation you did for it (really washing hands, taking vitamins, etc), that you got it! Hope you feel better soon!
